A controls upgrade, a robotic operation or an inspection task starts with a production requirement. Axistra introduces its engineering approach through two equally important divisions: Industrial Automation and System Integration & Robotics. Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, we connect the discussion about technology to the process it must support: what needs to change, what must remain and how the result will be assessed.

Industrial Automation: connect control to the process

Our Industrial Automation scope covers PLC and control systems, SCADA, DCS and BMS integration, and drives and electrical integration. These disciplines connect machine operation, process supervision and the equipment that carries out each command.

For an existing installation, the starting point is its current behavior. Which operating sequences must remain? What information do operators need? Which drives, signals and connections are affected? Defining these requirements helps establish the scope of a change and the interfaces that need attention.

System Integration & Robotics: define the complete operation

Our System Integration & Robotics scope covers robotics, machine vision and visual inspection, conveyors and material handling, and custom machines, systems and pneumatics.

The engineering discussion follows the product through the operation: how it arrives, how it is positioned, what happens to it and where it goes next. For an inspection task, this includes what must be checked and how the equipment should respond to each result. For a robotic operation, it includes product variation, handling requirements and interaction with surrounding machines.

Select technology around the application

We take your preferred platforms into account and assess their compatibility with the task and installed equipment. A familiar platform is useful context; the required functions, interfaces and operating conditions still need to be understood.

A practical brief should identify the equipment to be retained, available documentation and any maintenance or access requirements. These details help frame the platform discussion before a particular configuration is selected. The choice should support the whole operation, including how your team will use and maintain it.

Make the required behavior testable

“Improve the line” is a starting point. A project brief becomes more useful when it describes observable behavior: a required operating sequence, a product feature to inspect, a signal exchanged between machines or a defined response to an interruption.

Discuss the relevant product variants and operating conditions, then agree how the requirements will be checked. Acceptance criteria, responsibilities and handover information belong in the scope discussion. This gives the customer and engineering team a common basis for assessing the proposed solution and reviewing the work.

Bring a concise first brief

You do not need a finished technical specification to begin a conversation. Describe the process, the change you want and the equipment that must remain. Add the main constraints, such as available space, product changes, existing interfaces and the possible shutdown window.

If drawings, equipment lists or sample images are available, identify them in your inquiry. State your priorities and distinguish required functions from ideas still being explored. This gives Axistra a useful starting point for the next technical discussion across either or both divisions.

Questions before you get in touch

Can we discuss one machine or one operation? Yes. Describe the specific machine or operation and its connections to the wider process so the scope can be considered in context.

Can we keep our preferred control platform? Include it in your brief. Axistra considers customer preferences alongside the required functions and compatibility with existing equipment.

What if the project involves both controls and robotics? Describe the complete production task in one inquiry. Identify what must change in each area and where the machines or systems need to exchange information.
