A custom machine is appropriate when the operation, product or connection to the production line requires a specific solution. Axistra develops the mechanical functions, pneumatics, electrical equipment and controls together around that requirement.

The initial discussion should establish what enters the machine, what must happen and what leaves it. Product variation, changeovers, available utilities, operator interaction and connections to the rest of production shape the concept.

Concept assessment, detailed engineering, implementation and tests are defined as project stages where applicable. The agreed scope identifies the supplied equipment, customer responsibilities, acceptance conditions and handover contents.

The process comes first.

We work with different manufacturers and platforms according to customer preferences. We assess compatibility with existing equipment, maintenance requirements and technical scope before proposing the solution.

What we define together

The activities and documentation are defined by the requirements and agreement for the project.

Practical questions

Can a quotation be prepared from a short description?

A short description starts the discussion. A dependable proposal needs enough detail about the operation, constraints, scope and acceptance conditions; concept work may need a separate agreed stage.

Can pneumatic elements be combined with existing controls?

This can be assessed against the required function, available supply, actuation and sensing requirements, and the existing electrical/control interfaces.

How are product changes considered?

List expected variants and what must change between them. Tooling, adjustment, recipes, inspection and the allowed changeover process should be included where relevant.
