An inspection project needs a clear decision: presence, position, appearance, identification or another defined characteristic. Axistra approaches machine vision as part of the production process, connecting image acquisition, inspection requirements and the response of the machine.
Representative good and defective samples, expected variation and operating conditions shape the assessment. Lighting, optics, positioning and timing need to make the relevant feature visible. The inspection result must then reach the correct machine or product-handling step.
Feasibility work and implementation are scoped around agreed samples and test conditions. Detection performance is established through evidence for the particular application; it cannot be determined from a general description alone.

Practical questions
Are a few ideal samples enough?
They can start the discussion, but they do not represent production variation. Include normal variants, known defects and borderline examples relevant to the acceptance decision.
Do we need AI for the inspection?
That is an engineering choice after the inspection task and images are understood. The method should fit the feature, variation and test requirements; a particular software approach is not assumed.
What happens when the inspection fails?
The required response must be defined: reject the product, flag it for review, signal another machine or follow another agreed action. Product identification and response timing are part of the integration scope.
